I just bought a used 20" sunpod and I need to try and figure out a way to attach them to my stand.

I just have a 10g half moon aquarium right now sitting on a tv stand. Ill be getting a nicer tank in a few months.

Anyway, since the tank is curved I can't use the sunpod's legs. And my ceiling is too high and vaulted and the tank is not up against a wall.

Im wondering if something like this would work: Current USA`s Hanging Arm System for Outer Orbit, SunDial HQI, Nova Extreme Pro & SunPod Fixtures.

That's the only one I have seen, so Im wondering if there are any other similar overhanging arms. I went to Home Depot today and they didnt have anything good.

It may not be pretty but you build one from wood like the one you referenced. You might also be able to attach wood the the TV stand to make attachments for the hangar.

You could also use shelf brackets to make a hangar and attach them to the wall behind the tank.

I just screwed a piece of wood (shaft from an old hockey stick) to the legs of mine, long enough to reach across the tank front to back, works fine. What's the wattage of your sunpod ? Could be a little much for a 10gal. if it's a 150 in which case hanging it would allow you to mount it higher.
