I need help in identifying this coral

    Am with you guys, I would say it’s a sponges. but here is the million day question did you expose it to air when you was putting it in your tank?

    Not to go against you, but I know alot of people say that exposing air to sponges is deadly to them.......but Ive never had that problem. Ive got atleast a dozen sponges on my LR, some as big as a golf ball, and air doesnt seem to affect them. The last time I took my LR out of the tank, it was out for atleast 45 minutes and I had no problems, and that wasnt the only time I had exposed them to air......just my experience.

    We aint found sh! I like that avatar that spaceballs is a classic. Yea I dont think air was the culprit. I found it in the ocean snorkeling. I want to know what it is so next time I pullanother from the ocean I can care for it better. Thanks for all the help

    Not all sponges die from air. Just some are more than likely to get clogged up and die.
