i have a 100 gallon tank with with a 30 gallon fuge. i put four yellow tail damsels in the main tank, ten pounds of live rock in the fuge, a bottle of fritz 9 and a dozen little hermit crabs in the main tank. the tank had water in it for a week before i added the fish, lr, and bacteria. the fish,lr, and bacteria have been in the tank for a week.(so a total of two weeks) i have a hundred pounds of dry macro rocks in the tank and about ten in the fuge plus the 10 lb lr. day 1 and 2 i had a slight change in ammonia and on day 2 i had a slight raise in nitrites then every thing went back to zero. does this mean my tank is cycled or did i put to much bacteria in and stall the process. any info would help this is my first tank thank you.

    asm gx1 protien skimmer

Feed the fish and and test for ammonia the following days and see if ammonia spikes.

No leave the skimmer on. Just keep testing and feeding as normal. If you have no ammonia in 2 weeks you should be in great shape and can slowly (every 4 weeks or so) add fish until you reach the number you desire. Just keep track of your levels whenever you add fish and be prepared to handle any spikes. Seachem Prime is good to keep on hand as well as enough water for a 20% to 25% water change should you experience any spikes.

You can add soft corals after a couple of months, LPS a little after that and SPS after you have keeping your parameters steady down.
