well like stated above, getting fresh air into tank room.. take ph reading right before lights turn off. add ph buffer by kent. surface airagation. your DKH may be low. I know mines at 12 right now and my PH holds 8.3 good. aim for a 10-11 dkh.. It might be time for a water change? get some new saltwater in there with a proper ph level might help..

If this problem has been around for 2 months i'm not sure if a wc would do the trick as i imagine you have done a couple of wc by now. maybe place a fan over the sump to help with O2.

Do you use a pH buffer? I use it every time I do a WC to help raise and keep the pH stable.

Drip kalk. Helped stabilize my params and raised it to be a consistent 8.1-8.4 depending on if my windows were open, lights on, off, etc. Kalk will be dripped at night on my 110.

What are you basing this statement on?? I use Oceanic and have no problems what so ever. Nice Ca and Mg readings Ph stable. Just make sure you can back this up with facts before you post something like this about a product. That is how rumors get started that are not true.

Tat....I was running 7.8 ish. You can take a cup of water out of the fuge, and mix 2 Tbsp of Kent Marine Buffer, or Seachem Reef Buffer. Both will raise Alk and PH. I had to dose every other night for about a week. Then it builds up in your system. Now I only have to dose every couple of weeks. PH stays at 8.33 Lights on. 8.10 Lights off. Make sure you pour into sump. Not DT.

Im actually putting small amounts of kalk into my ato bin with a powerhead in there. This was from sunday.

Ph is up and I feel much more comfortable with it.

Plus having fresh air circulating through the house is also benefitting.
