    Hey guys,

How the hell does everyone deal with the power requirements of tanks? I mean I have 2 x 6 power board running behind my tank but its still not enough.

Here is a list of what is currently plugged in:
    - Main Light Powersource
    - Refugium Light Powersource
    - Return Pump
    - Chiller Powersource
    - Chiller Pump
    - Reactor Pump 1
    - Reactor Pump 2
    - Skimmer Pump
    - Skimmer Air Pump
    - Powerhead 1 (MP10)
    - Powerhead 2 (Sicce Voyager)
    - Powerhead 3 (Sicce Nano)
    - ATO

Thats 13 powerpoints!, So as well as my 2 x 6 powerboards, I also need to run one more extension cord for the ATO.

But I just realised now its coming into winter, I will also need my heater, and the powersource for battery back up for the MP10. I will be getting rid of both sicce pumps for another MP10 in a couple of weeks, but it still does leave me one short.

Does everyone have this many things plugged in? It looks like a farce behind the tank lol.

Well I had 5 extra circuits put in. To total 8 for my fish room. So to deal with the added power draw, I added more power. lol It does look like crap with everything plugged into powerstrips in plain sight so Im building a cabinet to hide the mess of electrical plugs that feeds my display. Look at Chris's (Biocube is his username.) build for inspiration. His tank is so clean when it comes to organization, its ridiculous.

I might need to go and invest in 8's or 10's.

I have 8 outlets on my Reef Angel, distributed as follows:

    1 - ATO
1 - Heater (actually have this split to two receptacles for both heaters)
    1 - 'Fuge light
    1 - Daylights
    1 - Actinics
2 - Wavemaker (both have been split to 2 receptacles, so 4 total)
1 - "Always on" - have a power strip plugged in with my skimmer, return pump, air pump, carbon reactor pump, and fan (speed is controlled through my Reef Angel)

Then, I have my ground probe plugged in the other outlet of my GFCI receptacle.

    Wire management much :cheesy:
