If you want to get into corals I would go with at least T5's.

I don't like Odyssea. I have an odyssea PC fixture and am not impressed with it. I cannot imagine that it's T5 brother is of any better quality. The basic rule with lighting is you get what you pay for. Big time. I hate to say it, but if you are going to do it right, you are going to spend a bit of money. I have a few suggestions for you to check out. They are in order of preference (IMO of course).

Bulbs (high quality) are included in the price

Bulbs (high quality) are included in the price. I am going to get a TEK for myself here when I finally upgrade my lights

The following is actually a 6x39W. A little much for a 40g, I would back off to five bulbs and leave the last bay empty if the corals object (you can give them too much light). The only reason I did the 6x on this one is that the Nova Extreme Pro does not do a 4x39W. And the individual reflectors are a must have IMO. Bulbs are included, but they are not good. They will get you started, but, in the end, I would buy UVL or Giessemann. That is the downside of the NEP. Buying the TEK, the UVLs are included.

Current USA Nova Extreme Pro T5HO Aquariuim Light Fixtures

It appears that shipping is free with all of them. I would seriously stay away form the cheap fixtures. I have two of them myself and wish I didn't.

And moon LED lights do not come with some (or perhaps all---I did not check) of these choices. They can be installed separately, and IMO should never enter the equation in terms of buying a good fixture. It seems like the good fixtures do not include them. And they are cheap to aquire.

    Peace.......John.

Honestly, this is an oxymoron in relation to reef lighting as PharmrJohn said.
