Ok i have a 75g reef tank in the work's . All i need now is a good light fixture. I'm thinking of the new nova extreme SLR Aquarium Lighting for Freshwater and Reef Systems: Nova Extreme Compact SLR T-5 Fixtures

Ok 3 reef's what's your opinion on this light and what can i house under it ? One day i love to have a clam or 2 not sure this light will work for them but i had to ask :) My tank is 48-18-18 deep

And what about luner light's are thay a must have ?

If you are going to do a fixture, here is my 2nd choice.

My first choice is a Power Module from ATI. Here is a link for it.

If you have a canopy, then get an IceCap retro, 4 bulbs, would be plenty on an IceCap.

Do NOT skimp on your lights! Lights, Flow, Skimmer, in that order are the keys to success in my opinion.

its really more about the bulbs your putting in it and how many. i would do a 6 bulb current nova fixture with uvl bulbs, you could keep anything with that,
    IMHO.

i like my lunar lights, and i belive my scooters get there fill of pods when the moon lights are on, and all the other fish are asleep. they also have camo that kinda blends them in with the shimmer effect, i wonder if they feed under the moon light in the wild.

    My recommendations are

    Nova Extreme Pro 6x54W
    Tek 6X54W
    Tek 8x54W

All the choices have individual reflectors and you should, as stated before, get the UVL bulbs.

I have a 90g myself and am getting the Tek 8x54W with UVL. When I had the 75g, I was going to do the same. The 8 bulb unit is probably a little overkill for 75g, but WTH. I was going to do it anyway before it sprang a leak. Get six at the minimum.

If you want to see a pic of the Tek 8x54W on top of a 90g tank (18 inches in width also), check out Iraf's 90g thread.

The pics are on post #47 on page 5.
