Hi all. I have a RSM 130D (34g), fish only, about 44lbs of live rock, born 2-14-09.

Current inventory consists of: a few snails, 2 I bought, others have appeared from the rock, 2 crabs, 2 Green Chromis and 1 Six-line Wrasse.

From a fish perspective I have 3. I want 1 or 2 more and then eventually I will supplement with more CUC, shrimp, etc. No plans to do corals.

What I am looking for is that 1 cool fish that will be the "main attraction" to the tank. Any suggestions? ::)

Well, if it were me I would add a pair of clowns just because I love clown fish lol. If your lookin for something you don't see everyday you could get a pair of black and white clowns.

A flame angle is quite the looker. Seeing how you'll have no corals might be an option.

Thanks. I was considering a lemon peel angel too. Just not sure, and want to explore all options.

not to be a pooper... but you're probably already maxed out on fish (what's your total filtration setup?).

If it were me (and i realize it isn't), I would get rid of the 2 chromi's and swap them out with one 'attraction fish' (like a dwarf angel) and 1 other fish (like a goby or blenny).

Everyone and their dog has clown's IMO and I find them boring. I want rid of mine actually...

    good luck

Personally I would ditch the chromis as well and go with a dwarf angel and a fairy/flasher wrasse, or a firefish, or maybe a jawfish if you have a deep enough sandbed. I think 3 fish in that size range is plenty, personally once they grow to full adult size anyway.

Thanks. I believe I am perfectly safe to add 1 more fish. I run a mechanical filter, chemi-pure and a skimmer. I do water changes weekly and clean the filter and skimmer 2xs per week. My water parameters are excellent - 0 nitrate, nitrite, amonia. I could probably push 2-3 more fish, but don't want to.

I like the chromis and will hold on to them. I like the six line too.

    WAIT!!!!!! great idea...
green or spotted manderain... yes I know they only eat copepods but I would do this.
buy or build a diy refugium with sand, lr rubble, cheato, and grow copepod so you can have a constant supply. plus a refugium will lower nitrates if they become a problem down the road. but a manderain fish is definately one of the coolest fishes ever. thats what I would do.

I totally agree! I still enjoy my clown pair (they're really weird) and my pygmy angel - beautiful fish.
