I Need T5 Pics!

Hello everyone,

I am upgrading my lighting system to a tek 48 inch 8 bulb T5 lighting fixture ;D. Knowing that the fixture does not come with bulbs, I would like recommendations of bulb combinations AS WELL AS some pics of those that are running that combo on their tank.

My current tank is a 120 G LPS dominant tank. It also has quite a bit of zoanthids and palys, and would like to add some select, higher end SPS down the road. With that in mind what would you recommend?

I would do 3 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI Purple Plus and 3 ATI Aquablue Specials. The Aquablues are white bulbs and the purple plus has some red to make your purple, pink and red colors stand out. The Blue Plus have a lot of actinic in them along with the other bulbs! Makes your tank look awesome and corals love it

 

I suggest for a bluer look 4 ATI Blue Plus, 2 ATI Purple Plus and 2 Aquablue Special.

2 in 10... if I go with the more blue look will this hinder growth since blues dont put out as much par as other bulbs?

 

Ati blue plus bulbs are very good par. I was running 3 in a 4 bulb fixture and I had great growth.

 

ATI Blue Plus put out the highest PAR of any blue bulb and are higher than almost all white bulbs. So they will not hinder growth at all.
