My carpet has a very thick pad and we found out after setting it up when we walk the water moves. it's a 90 gal tank with live rock and sand and coral plus 8 fish!

I need to jack it up somehow. The guy that sold me the tank came to my house and helped me set it up. I forgot what kind of jacks he told me something like a corner jack type that uses a screwing device sorta like on a vise to raise stuff..

anyone know what i'm talking about or have idea's? (shims i think wouldn't work

I don't think the tank will fall over just trying to make it better

probably something along the lines of what is used on appliances. turn the screw and it levels it out. only problem is how do you raise the tank to get anything underneath it. talking approx 1100 lbs.

Im not doubting the fact that your stand needs leveling. I am having a hard time trying to visualise that a 90 gal tank and stand is moving around because of carpet pad. at 1000# it seems to me that it would be more of an issue with the floor under the pad. Is it a concrete foundation or board. If its a board floor I would look into loose/weak boards.
I did re-level my 72 bow by just driving some shims under it and cutting them off so you couldnt see them but that was on a concrete foundation

Some floors just wont handle the weight either. My tank is Half On the foundation, half off. We got some floor jacks for the basement where the tank is Half off :p. Fixed the 120g not being level for sure.

i used a concrete cinder block,a 4 x 4,and a car sissor jack, under the floor(in the crawl space)put the block down, put the jack on the block and raised the 4 x 4 to span across a few floor joist snuggly, and that took the bounce out of my floor

It's not the padding. It's the bounce in the floor itself. Mine does it to some extent too but not bad enough to do anything about. You'll need to add support in your basement or crawl space to get rid of it.
