Who in the world would pay over $200 for a magnetic algae cleaner? And, it doesn't even float! It has the antequated string. I can't get my mind around this, it's no better than any other reasonably priced cleaner

The only thing I can figure is that instead of throwing it away, you can replace the cleaning surfaces. Heck, I cringed at the price of the floating ones (but bit the bullet and bought it anyway LOL).

I agree, at most cleaning magnets IMO should be like $10...$200 is just insane!

Does it feed your fish for you, and have a built in protein skimmer?

It's expensive because of the neodymium rare earth magnets and it can clean panes up to 1 1/2 thick. If you don't have panes that are 1 1/4~1 1/2" thick, then this is a waste of money. There's also the shipping from Europe and the exchange rate difference.

    Was about to say that.

Heck, the x-large mag-float is $120 and only does up to 1.25".

Well then for that purpose it is reasonable. The larger mag-floats coast quite a bit too.
