    Grats on the new add!

Just a warning, they're not always 100% reef safe, like any other angel.

Awesome! I was wondering about that acronym!

These a** holes at the LFS sold the tang to me as a reef safe Naso tang... I'll have to have a talk with them today.

By the way, angel is swimming like crazy, but won't eat. I've seen him getting some cope-pods from the rocks, but he won't touch frozen of dry food.
The Vlamingi Tang eats like a pig, but won't come out in the open too much. He just dives behind the rocks as soon as he sees any movement outside the tank. :(
I'll try to hand feed them to see if they get used to me a little more.

The Vlamingi is a Naso tang, just a different species. "Naso vlamingi" is the species name. They are reef safe, but gigantic and fast growing lol

Good luck having a tank of the right size ready for it, though:

"This is not a fish which you can purchase young, thinking you will get it a larger tank as it grows. You need to start out with the final, large tank size. The fish you buy might only be three or four inches long but this is a fish that grows 80% of its adult size in its first year. Since they average two feet long, and can grow to even be three feet long, you really need to be prepared right from the beginning."

Honestly, I wouldn't get any kind of Naso tang if I were you. Even the normal Naso gets to be over a foot long, and those kinds of sizes hold true for the whole family.

Yeah. I'm starting to think that the Naso wasn't a great idea. They lost their shyness now and they both eat, coral beauty and tang. Welll... the tang never stopped munching everything in its path.

So... they grow pretty big and pretty fast, then?

I wouldnt put any Naso tang in a tank under 8', especially a vlamingii, they get HUGE (~2')
