What's a Dottyback?

Ever so since I made my DIY limitless ATO, my SG stays rock steady.

All I know for sure is that he/she is gone- no trace.

Also known as the Strawberry Dottyback.

 

Great! That's just what we need- more confusion with the naming conventions! Dottybacks (aka Pseudochromis) and Basslets are two different species.

Pseudochromis for Sale: Splendid Dottyback Species and other Pseudochromis

 

LOL agreed. Not sure who's idea it was to call a Pseudochromis a Basslet.

Why dottyback? I dunno, no dots on their back

No, not any sign. He was big too! I often saw most if not all my fish going thru his 'cleaner' station from time to time.

My thoughts are maybe my banded Goby got at him.
I'm thinking about getting another, maybe.

As of now, my ~7.5" Royal Blue Tang looks pristine, not sure I need him;

But he was really cool, and would eat pellets out of my hand!

 

yeah i bet it was a sad moment. i know words wont make up for it. have you seen any that u like as of now. maybe another one?
