Your sig says you have a TEK fixture, very nice light by the way. Which one did you get(how many bulbs and what are the watts)? I really don't see dartfish being recessive/elusive towards light, but maybe you have a picky one....? I really don't know what to say, wish I had more info for you. The only thing I would suggest is to save a little bit of food at the end of feedings to offer him while he is out, you deffinitely want to make sure he eats.

thanks, i got the 4 bulbs, i don't know much about wattages, just got whatever reefgeek suggested which was 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI 1200k aquablue, and one UV Lighting Actinic white bulbs. And i haven't even been running all 4 bulbs because no corals yet, so i currently have one blue and one white on the same switch, so if it doesn't like the light like this, don't know what it's going to do with all 4.

Yea i think i'll have to overfeed for now, just to make sure he gets food, i can tell he's hungry and easily accepts it but just to slow

    Hey puffer
I have a regular fire fish and a purple fire fish
my purple fire fish is always hiding so I made some bigger type caves with coral like kinda
lager parts of the rock and smaller points at top so there is 6-7" gap and put some GSP in between the two rock and it blocks alot of light going down to to bottom and my Purple
one is alway there now chilling
and the Red one just hangs out all the time about mid level in the tank its wired!!!
