I am far from an expert on SPS, even more so acros, but I feel that this was a lucky find for me. I got this whole colony for $35. The pictures suck, but its an awesome pinkish color with purple tips. It's still acclimating so I haven't seen any real PE, but I think it might be a cerealis?

    What do you guys think?

I was shocked to say the least. I got it from this fairly new LFS. They are the only store near me that consistently carries SPS frags and they are always fairly priced. I walked in to get a couple of snails and saw this beast, first colony I've seen there.

When the employee said it was $35 and that they just got it that day, I was like "I'll take it!"

Thanks guys for making me feel great about my purchase. Now I need you guys to convince my wife when she gets home.

Check it for an acro crab! That looks like about the size of most maricultured acros I see come in. I picked on up similar to that for 45 with a cool acro crab in it, i love the comensul crabs!

I think it was maricultured because it had a tag attached to the rock it was on. There was this awesome little acro crab in it that I was trying to save, but then I also found 2 guerilla crabs in it. While trying to get the guerilla crabs off the little acro crab lost his arm and then died :( I felt like crap

I tried the whole time I was acclimating with a toothpick and my turkey baster. Little guy would not budge. So then I thought I would just start the dip and he would try to vacate, but same thing.

I didn't even know the two guerilla crabs were on it until I started the dip. One appeared out of no where and just moved to where he could see me and was just staring me down. I could feel him saying "***?!". Then when trying to get that guy off, the other guerilla popped out and I think it startling me is what lead to the acro crab's demise.

Oh the weird little things in reefing.
