I think i have a hitchhiker in my tank

Yesterday when my raw shrimp broke apart, a piece came off that was pretty large and landed on the bottom under the rock, and is now gone. I think I may have a hitchiker of some kind. How am i able to bring out whatever ate it?

 

it might have gotten blown under or into your rockwork. you could always put a hook and line through the remaining shrimp to make sure it dosen't get lost and see if anything goes for it. keep a flashlight next to the tank and check it out at night.

probably brittle stars ... the invisible hitchhiker lol.

I never see them, even investigating with flashlight at night, I rarely rarely see one ... but i know there are hundreds in there.

Anytime I pull a piece to frag a coral, tens of them drop off of the rock, and whnever I change media or carbon, tons are in the filters.

They stay hidden almost always lol

 

ok lol well i guess they just got a good meal then and it looked like something dug up the sand where the shrimp was beacuse its all pushed up to the front, where yesterday it was level. Oh and i keep on getting sand all over some of the rocks, so something is disturbing the tank a bit, and i don't think it's from the powerheads kicking up the sand and it getting all over the rocks
