So its been maybe 3 or 4 days now, and i have not seen my lawnmower blenny come out AT ALL....

and that's not the weird part, on sunday when i was doing my water change, i decided to look under all my rocks.... he was not there, i could not find him...

Ive heard they burrow in the sand... but for 4 days? do you think i need to start looking for a dead fish body in my sand?

maybe... i know i stirred the surface because i had to use one of those water vacuum type things to suck up some red slime after i nuked it.

I didnt go digging under the rocks, i lifted it up, then set it back down

lol thanks, king of the hill rocks. If the fish did die i assume you wouldnt be able to find the body because of the crabs. Did it jump out?

Lawnmower and scooter blennys can bury themselves in the sand. However even if he did die and you don't obviously see the body your scavengers will clean up the mess. And you'll never smell dead fish. I've had more than one fish disappear over the many years I've had tanks and if I didn't see their body it's because the scavengers took care of it. Never effected the water quality or caused any kind of problem. Granted any BIG fish that died it was always obvious - I could see the body. :p
