I was cementing the final piece of pvp together for my sump and a small drop of pvc cement dripped into the sump. I clumped up and I was able to get it out within 5 seconds. Is my sump water ruined?

Very unlikely that it's ruined. But I'm not sure 100% Happens to me all the time and I just take out the bulk of the cement and run some carbon.

If it is easy to get rid of the water I would do it. If not, I personally would still do it. As far as knowing for sure if the water is ruined, I'm not. Just over carefull now that I've learned a few leasons.

With a 29g sump (per your signature), why would you take the chance? What is it, $1 worth of salt? I vote for "change the water."

P.S., The title of your thread is thought-provoking.

You have no idea how many times I have found myself standing next to a tank saying that same thing.
