My aneomone has been in my tank for about a week and was doing fine but last night it detached its foot and i think it moved around. It's still in its original place, but it's foot is detached and it is kind of shriveled up and it has this mucus like stuff coming out of it.
Left is the anemone today, and right a few days ago. (click image for larger view) Thanks for the help!

Interesting color, I wonder if it was dyed. What kind of lighting do you have it under?

It's under a Coralife powercompact i think it's 130 watts. Do you think it looks sick?

The pic on the left is showing it's mouth agape. Not a good sign.

That tank does look VERY young, just look at that shiny back glass. I really doubt PC's have enough punch to get enough light to the bottom of your tank to keep that nem happy. Would it be possible to return it to where you got it?

Well i just pushed its foot back under the rock and it's opened up and looks normal again, so idk. No the tank is not very old a little over a month, but all of my levels are perfect. Idk if it's possible to return it but it looks great now, should i wait to see if it gets bad again to return it?

A month old, huh . . . wow. most people say to wait a minimum of 6 months to a year to let everything stabilize. I would highly recommend a little more homework before your next purchase. Best of luck to you.

http://www.3reef.com/forums/inverts/anemome-77816.html I was asking if im good for a nem, read my sig and everything in the thread, that will give you a better idea on how much anemones really need. Ill quote some stuff.
This emphasizes the equiptment needed to keep a nem happy. Not to mention a nice big tank. Please do the nem and all of us a favor and return that nem man. Good luck! Hope this helps
