Yea, mine looked dead many times. Very weird creatures. Provided their foot is attached, and they are sticky (touch it gently, should stick to your finger a bit), then it's healthy.

im a little confused because i had read your previous threads and it seems like your first thread says the tank was set up just a month ago. which would mean the tank is under 2 months old....

you also said "Also, my clown is not feeding it" in another thread. does this mean you haven't fed it either?

lighting is important to most nems and the type of lighting is important. not the watts so much.

I had an anemone before which looked the same but recovered.... so don't give up yet. Keep us posted about your water parameters and how its doing. Sorry that you are having problems!

When anemones die, they will appear as if they are melting. Your's looks like it is just deflating to expel waste and old water. When they do this frequently, that means you have a problem with your water parameters as it cannot get comfortable.

I agree, with my first anemone he did excatly the same and i called my local shop for help and i was told to flush him away ? i did not like the idea so i checked google and forums and i learned that he was expelling his water, 1 day later he was healthy and fully inflated.

Give them a chance, dont give up on him just yet !

You said he was dead, did you pull the anemone out or is it still in the tank? If its in the tank please post another pick.

You said your tank tests well, please post what your parameters are – often times important tests are skipped because people do not know its important. We can suggest other tests once we know what you are currently testing for.

Anemone’s do not respond well to swings in conditions, specific gravity, temperature, dkh and ph being most noteworthy.

Many require supplements such as trace elements and iodine.

As suggested above if you just touch once if its legs and it sticks to your finger he’s ok. I have seen anemone’s deflate and shrink to the size of a half dollar and recover. Some times they are starving and other times they have been overfeed.

I am sorry to hear of your troubles, but currently its near impossible to assist without more specific information. If he’s in the tank please post an updated picture. Good luck!

So what would you say it means if the anemone is not sticky to the touch, my bubble tip is responsive but he does look the healthiest in the world and he does not stick to my finger if I touch him?
