I think my tank is finally ready for coral!

I think the one thing that has been stopping me from getting coral is finally gone! and it's GHA! i scrubbed my rocks only a few days ago, when i put the rocks back in the tank there were only a few spots of GHA left and the algae is still there but it's hardly anything, there's only like a few spots on one rock and two other rocks only have one small spot each. But the CUC has been working away in the areas and it's going down and there is no growh of GHA anywhere else in the tank.

So i think it's finally safe to say that i Puffer Chick can finally get her first coral! i have to wait until this weekend but i'm excited. And it's for real this time! I've waited 4 months to get coral and it's finally going to be this week!:clapping:

thanks, i've had the gha for about a month now it was never really bad, but it was enough to make the tank ugly and stopping me from getting coral. i just wish i had scrubbed the rocks earlier, maybe that would have helped

 

Good luck i'm on that same mission!!!! Lol but i have some funny business happining on my rock.. Check out the pix and tell me if u know what it is.. I put up some photos and started a thread to see if maybe someone knows what it is.. I started it on live rock forums.

thats not fair. ha j/k, i cant wait to start adding coral......let me rephrase that. i can wait, and i am , but i dont like it. hopefully soon though

what kind of corals are you going to get?

 

probably going to start off with zoas/polyps, the lfs had the zoas with the green center probably going to get those, i look around though

 

they would be a great choice for a 1st coral IMO
