After talking to a guy at ORA he believe that the reason my Montipora get white spots and then go away is the Blenny. If it was nudis they would get worse. Has anyone here have a Blenny that you noticed do the same. My Sunset and Rainbow MOnti both look brown with no polyps. If I remove the Blenny will the frags heal or is it too late?

    Blennies will sometimes do this.

If you have a M. danae that is browing out, you don't have enough light, have too many nutrients, or both. Another possibility is it's a new frag and it's still adjusting.

After talking with ORA they feel my 2 150 Mh bulbs should be enough for all Montipora. I feed lightly frozen every day that I rinse off first with RODI water. I am not sure about the adjusting because they looked great then all the sudden the Sunset frag withdrew its polyps and turned tan in color. It has not come back as of yet and this was yesterday afternoon.

It does take time for corals to adjust. I had a monti cap that took about a month before the polyps fully came out and it started to grow. Check your nitrate and phosphate levels, also make sure they have good flow.

If the Sunset Monti slowly browned out then I would think lighting or the water but it happened within an hour and I notice the Blenny perching very close to the sps frags. Will the Sunset Monti heal if I remove the Blenny. Now it looks tan with no polyps

Any way my soft corals Leathers could cause white spots on sps? I would think not

it's not good to mix leathers and SPS unless you're running carbon or doing frequent waterchanges. They don't live together in the wild so you want to make sure you are removing their chemical warfare. However, it doesn't usually create white spots on SPS, it just stunts their growth.

Adam are you sure you do not have the Montie eating Nudiebranchs ? You seem to get lots of white spots on just Monties and or maybe not enough water flow and the waste is setteling on them maybe ? And like In wall mentioned not a god idea to mix leathers or any softs with sps corals . And you need to keep ontop of the carbon changes when they are mixed .
