how do you all who like a bluer tank achieve this? i have 4x t5s. i want to run 3x actinic lights and 1x 12,000k daylight. my problem is i keep getting actinic lights that are purple and i want the blue that my fixture came with. i found out that with actinics the 420nm ones are more purple/violet, and the 460nm actinics are the blue ones. does anyone on here achieve a bluer look by running more blue actinics? many say actinics offer no benefit to corals well being but my local coral specialty store runs 75% actinic and has healthy corals and assures me i will do fine with high actinic lighting.

ATI Blue Plus are the best blue bulbs IMO, great PAR and great color. I've heard some good things about some 22k bulbs too but I'm not as familiar with those. If you want a pretty blue tank with great PAR try 3 ATI Blue Plus and 1x ATI Aquablue. Just be careful about bleaching because there will probably be a lot more light coming off those bulbs than your coral are used to.

2 ATI blue plus, a fiji purple and an aquablue gives a look I really like, I would order those 4 and maybe an extra blue plus just in case you want to swap out the fiji purple out.
