So I was filling up a 55g to make a FOWLR tank and I spilled some of the water on my stand, the water ran down one leg and soaked the felt square that is under the leg (to keep it from damaging my floor). Now my tank is slightly off level . So what should I do? Soak the other legs, Drain it and try after its all dry? The water level from one corner to the other is off a about a quarter inch give or take.

    Thanks for the advice.

Seriously.... a tank that is leaning or out of level at all is an accident waiting to happen please empty the tank and start over because even if the tank does not tip and it might that stand is not designed to handle a load that is out of balance the load has to be level and evenly distributed for it to perform correctly. Otherwise the stress of the tank sitting crooked will cause the stand to fail.. Its not worth the risk empty and start over and do not use those felt things use wood or plastic shims.

Remember salt water weighs 8.5 pound per gallon x 55 gallons = a really heavy tank.

Being out of level and out of plumb are two different things, level is horizontal and plumb is vertical. If a tank is slightly out of level the long ways, as long as the stand is designed to take the load, it should be fine. If it is out of level the width way, then I would be more worried. Also, if it is out of plumb I would def. want to correct it before filling it. An out of plumb tank is much more likely to tilt and fail.
