    hi all, just a quick question, has any1 here ever or has got these icecap ballasts, i've heard that u can rewire them to 120v UK mains do u think this would be easy to do or hard

    Did it come with any instructions sheets that have a schematic drawing on it?

    In theory anything can be converted....might cost more than it's worth tho.

    isn't UK 220v 50hz?

    120V-277V i think just what i got told from the supplier, ive also not got them as yet but as i live in uk they are coming from U.S and they said i can convert them, they are universal so was just wondering if their hard to convert or mainly just straight forward

    It should just be a matter of hooking up the right wire leads from the ballast. Most are marked on the ballast which leads to use doe which voltage/frequency inputs.

    are you using it to overdrive t5s or metal halides? How bigs your tank?
