    Ok,

Have been running my 30" Odyssea MH fixture for a little while now. I want to upgrade my ballast & bulb. Here's the current config.

    250W 15K Odyssea Bulb Double-end
    250W Odyssea MH Ballast 120V
    2 - 65W PC bulbs.

I have pretty much have narrowed it down to a 14K bulb. Mfg? Bluelife SPS, Ushio, etc??

The ballasts are the SAME price $129.99 Can I get a little info on this..

    Thanks...

    CJ

Lumatek are good, I believe they are made by Sunlight supply (could be wrong). Ice cap are nice too. I don't think there is a bad choice here. I would look at the efficiency of each ballast and the warranty. When I get my MHs, I'm going to go with Galaxy ballasts by Sunlight supply, they are 99% effecient and have a 2 year full warranty and 5 year partial warranty.

There is an advantage to the lumatek but I can't remember what it was.. sorry. I went with icecap because it's plug and play. The lumatek I believe requires wiring.

Well being able to buy and supply them from two of the mentioned vendor's of the 3 brands named on this thread we would and do choose to run the Galaxy ballast, I myself personley would not sell or give a hoot in hell for anything with the name Ice crap on it .. Weak stuff I have pulled more then a few out of the box to heat that famous POP and smokeing problem.
