    Did you pull all of the fish out of the tank? Even if they look OK, the ich is still there as long as there's a fish in the tank. Waiting 8 weeks won't matter if there's a fish in the tank.

    Sorry for you loss. I'm battling ich right now as well, and so far I've lost a Kole Tang, an Orchid Dottyback, and a Hippo Tang (original source of the ich).
