I wanted to ask you fellow reefers does this make sense!
I had a bout of White Spot (Ich) for the first time in 2 1/2 years in my reef tank because stupid me brought a cluster of pumping xenias that is attached to a piece of live rock from a NASTY LFS that the price for the coral was unbeatable. I did not quarintine the rock because i was in a rush and paid the price with the Introduction of ICH! My purple tang, talbot's damsel got it clowns and royal gramma did not get affected.
They were covered with white spots then the ich would drop off to the bottom -reproduce the attack them again and again.
I was going to put in some KORDON rid-ich but i don't do medications if i dont have to, so i said let me up my Iodine
TECH-I from 0.06 to 0.08 and within 3 days no more sign of ich. Its been 3 weeks now and still no ich.
Do you think that the properties in the iodine being that it is an antiseptic killed off the parisites? because ich is something that does not just magicaly go away very easy.
