Does my fish have ich?! It's an angel coral beauty. I a lighter spot noticed today of coloration on it's head/above eyes. Does this necessarily mean ich or is it something else?

What does the spot look like? Better description would help - also a picture if you can get one.

If it is ich it will look like grains of salt stuck to the fish.

Well it doesn't look like slat grains. Just loss of color.

Not ich then. Could be an injury?

I don't know how to add a photo. The fish keeps moving too so I cant get a clear image anyways. Which is part good because this means it is active.

    My water parameters are:

    pH-8
    ammonia-0
    Nitrite-o
    Nitrate-0
    Salinity-1.024

I only have just the one fish and a few inverts.(4 dwarf hermits, 2 turbo sails, and 2 Pacific cleaners) It's a FOWLR, rock has been curred for about 8 months now. Only hitchhiker in the tank from LR is a 3" bristle worm.

It's really hard to say what it could be. If it was me, I would just make sure to keep the water clean and make sure it's eating (add some vitamins to the food) and keep an eye on the area. If it gets worse, then you may have to do something else. Your pH might be a little low, maybe aim for 8.2, but it's not enough to be a problem.

I thought the pH was a little low but not a big problem and my water is crystal clear.

The tank is fed automatically every 12 hours with fish flakes and pellets. I clip seaweed to a seaweed clip on the side of the tank(every other day). Water temp is at 80.6 degrees F.

(I'll be aiming for pH of 8.4 on my next tank. I's going to be a reef can see by my sig.).
