I've read about this ICH disease, can't a good description/explanation. The reason I ask is b/c I feel I see a new black spot on my flame angel, not on the tail exactly but more so on his actual body but away from his stripes. Sounds like a horrible description, anywho, from what I've read when a fish has this ICH, it acts differently and has white spots.

I guess I'm wondering if ICH is ALWAYS indicated by white spots b/c he seems to be doing just fine, however, I did just notice it like ten minutes ago. Am I just paranoid or could it actually be something?

Black ich is caused by a parasitic worm. The black spots you see are the area where the worm has attached to feed leaving a spot of blood.

Researching treatment options for Black Ich is your best option. It does not kill in the same manner as Marine Ich or nearly as quickly. But you are going to want treatments that kill the parasite and prevent re-infection.

I agree with Corailline. but first look up pics of black ich and see if it matches your case; if so, then get treatment like was said previously

Okay so this is the best I could do as far as picture went. The little bugger is quick but if you look real real REAL close, after the last stripe there is a little black speck but I feel it's larger than what I found researching at work today and what everyone else has described. Again b/c it's past all of his stripes, is it possibly black ich?

ehhh the pic is too blurry but lemme tell you this; black ich is kinda like regular ick. you need to see it in lots of quantities but not necessarily all over the body.

Right. I'm not sure what regular ick is though, that's why I'm kinda buggin out. When I looked at him I saw small little specks on his belly too but I'm not sure if that's always been there. I just feel with the location of it, it's not part of his stripes
