OK, I already know what the fish is, but what is the behavior in the video? :D

It (she?) looks like sweeping the gravel under the anemone.

(Please excuse the anemone, it just "took a dump" earlier today)

My Allen's damselfish and Kupang damselfish both do that - frequently.
I think they do it to stir up the substrate and loosen up food.

    Just a guess.

Some fish will show "nesting" behavior as Ive recently figured out. I have another fish species who appears to be making a nest, and will hang out there for a few daysto a week and then move on and do it another place.

Thanks for all the ideas. I think the most likely is making a spot for eggs. I suppose nature takes it's course even if there is no male to fertilize the eggs. I guess I'll have to just keep watching to see what happens.

I always thought they don't mature to male/female until another is around. Not to say she wasn't a she before you bought her.....Keep us posted!

Not sure, but I've also heard they may turn female due to lack of another female in the group.

There used to be two, but sadly this one killed the other (indirectly) sometime back.

This one is I believe under a year old. I got the two as juveniles around April this year.

She could also be feeling a little insecure since her anemone isn't being very homey since it ate, so she might be keeping house until it reinflates. ;] Could easily be a him too, all depends on whether you get a larger or smaller buddy for it one day. Nature doesn't take its course without a mate. ;p
