Help, I got this coral on the same rock as my new blue clove plop. It has common walls, puts out feeder tentacles at night. I think it might be a Favite, but I have never had one--also how do I take care of it? Light, feeding, water flow? Please help me, any info would be appreciated! This is a pic during the day and one at night with tentacles extended. At this time the rock is at the bottom of my tank.

did it start out looking like a slime?

I got something on a rock (just like that with the same color as the dark photo)

and just one time it took on a shape like that ... but mine usually just looks like a slime coating - and my rock looks like a dead coral too ...

mine came as a small hunk of live rock and it's still there being itself!

Depending on the size of polyps, it could be a blasto or a micromussa.

Thanks everyone--the polyps are 1/2 " or smaller, there is dead skeleton under the live coral. I have no idea of how to take care of it, it is very pretty. The colors are brown, red brown, green, and maroon. It also has sweeper tentacles about 1/2 ' long.
