I have several groups of white tubes growing on my powerhead. They are approx. 1/4" long and they appear to have a hole on the end. Anyone know what this is and is it bad for my my tank?

Hard to tell without seeing what is in them. Have you seen anything from the ends?

Are they hard or soft? Any description you can give about them should help.

    Sort of cool tho.

They are semi-rigid. I can bend them by touching but they flex back to the original postiton. I cant find them anywhere else in the tank except for on the powerhead.

I actually upgraded to a different tank. I cleaned the powerhead and set up the new tank. Found these growing again on the glass the other day.
