Darn, was hoping someone magically knew already LOL. Hope someone can tell me before I have to tell y'all if they're really bad hitchhiker eggs! haha!

The place I bought the coral from is the only place we buy livestock. There is a tiny aiptasia on there that I'll get with lemon juice later (right now, there's a brittle star hanging out right by it, don't wanna make him pucker!). The coral tanks of course have all kinds of coral in them, they're grouped in the tanks by price, so there is really a variety of "coral pests" it could be. I've never seen or received any coral pests from this store (other than seeing a few aiptasia and an occasional tiny bubble algae on the newest frags).

Wish I could narrow it down better by having seen nudis or flatworms or any other pest in their tanks, but then I wouldn't be buying coral from them if I saw any of those things!

Whether it's good or bad I would remove it if I couldn't identify it.

    Hi,
If they are rubbery to the touch & have two openings at the top then they are ascinidians. They come in all colors. Harmless filter feeders. Check this site.

If you touch it, does it withdraw?

Sorry, for some reason my threads hardly ever show up in the "new threads" when I get responses so I didn't see this until I checked all threads posted by me!

It definitely wasn't a tunicate/sea squirt, I've had plenty of those before. They were gone the next day and I haven't seen any new critters running around yet so I guess the mystery will never be solved! I never did touch it, so no idea how it would've reacted or what it felt like.
