    So Ive noticed in a few spots in my tank, mainly under rocks and on inner sides of the caves in my tank, are some white patchy stuff growing. I think they are sponges... It seems they make a base on the rock and have a few tubes sprouting out... Right now the tubes are clearish white.. Almost grey like. But transparent... Does anyone have any Idea...?

    IN the picture they are above the scolymia in the left lower corner, If you enlarge the picture you can see... I still think its a sponge of some sort not sure though...

    i have those too... it will get thicker and thicker and make a mat-like sponge

    So a sponge like I guessed of some sort, Cool... I wonder if its not something from this one.... It appeared on an order from coralmorphologic... and ever since then They have been poppin up around and about in crevaces.

    Yep, good for your water quality. Sometimes gross is good.

    Thanks much! I counted them last night, I have about 8 patches of them, That one in the 1st picture is really only the truely visible one ATM.

    Might be a tunicate, but I don't know. Where is Sara when you need her?

    Haha, Dont know... She tends to pop on and off randomly. Regardless tunicates are good too right LOL?

    I talked to her earlier and described it cause there was no picture, she thought sponge more then likely.

    Yeah they are good and cool. They sometimes have a hard time in our tanks because we filter so heavily.

    I would think they are most likely sponges, too.
