    once they get bigger it feels weird if you touch it... almost like rough neoprene lolll

    a tunicate is kind of like a sponge... pineapple sponge... it's pretty much the same thing in laymen but not scientifical. I get them under all my rocks and when I move the tanks around you can feel just as you described. They are filter feeders and do keep your water filtered. They are a part of what can be described as a "stable/aged tank" to support harder forms of corals. You have to let the tank water age and grow organism like these to keep the tank stable.

    Hah Between these things and the spirobids popping up everything seems to be alining its self in the tank, corals are doing amazing, fish arent getting sick anymore... :D.

    Yep, and in either case they are good, and a sign you are doing something right;)
