Found this guy in my sump when I was changing out media. He has a very small thin shell over his back but looks more like a slug with a shell on his back than anything. This is a bag of carbon he is on. I have found large 1+ inch flat worms that are coral predators in my sump. Before I return him I would like an ID. Currently he is in a bucket (and might be getting a bit cool with no heater). If he is okay let me know so I can return him. Thanks

Stomies have a distinct face and unfortunately we are looking at the rear. I'd say stomatella though.

Definitely looks like Stomatella varia to me...harmless and a good addition to your CUC.

i love my stomatella's. i have seen my skunk cleaner shrimp eat them though so I don't see them very often anymore unless they are in my sump. Before I added the cleaner shrimp, they were all over the place. Very aggressive algae eaters - - i wish pet stores sold them because IME they are some of the best additions to a clean up crew due to their high activity

also, if you try to grab them and they feel threatened they will release their foot and crawl away and regrow a new one :)

shell colors range from black to white and anywhere in between, i've seen pinks, purples, golds, yellows. I love stomatella snails :)
