If you give the rotating wavemaker make sure to attach it to at least a maxijet 1200.
Well.... scratch that. I would better express my thought if I told u that I have a 55 gallon tank and had installed one of them on 1 end of the tank with an mj 600 and it was pitiful to say the least. Super slow moving and I wasn't impressed with its "wave making" capabilities. But when I switched it to an mj 1200 the whole thing changed and it really works very well. All my corals and fish enjoyed the random flow.
So, in short: if u get the hydor rotating wavemaker, pair it up with a stronger pump. Maxi jet 1200 or stronger if they make them. I missed what size is the tank. And I guess that even if its on your signature I will miss it since tapatalk does not show 'in thread' signatures.
If you have a smaller tank, this flow may be too extreme, depending on the size.

Any updates on the possibly colt or Kenya tree?

I think it is a colt. I saw another one similar to it today and was told it was a colt. As far as my tank, it is a 28G nano cube HQI with LED for night lighting. It has the stock pumps and I don't know if it's that strong. I can't even leave pumps on all the time because one side keeps blowing micro bubbles even if I fill the back with more water. So I have to keep it on 10 second intervals.
