OK I'm at work so a picture will come later. But I just thought I'd toss this out there in case anyone might have an idea so I could do some research.

Anyways on my sand, kind of in the back between my 2 islands, there are these red things that I almost want to describe as eggs, but that couldn't possibly be it. Everything I have in the tank is single with the exception of my chromis damsels.

But nonetheless they look almost like very flat eggs. I thought maybe they were some kind of bug but they don't move at all. And there are bunches of them. Again, on the sand and red. I suppose the bug idea is a possibility, but they just don't move. I would say they are about 1/8th of an inch big, kind of oval shaped.

I know with just that it's really a shot in the dark but I don't even know what to google right now. If anyone has any suggestions until I get a picture up that would be great. At least it would give me a hint as to what to search for in the meantime.

No, neither of those searches look anything like what I have. But I seriously appreciate it! Gives me a start. K+

Maybe they are chromis eggs? Just throwing it out there. I have never seen chromis eggs, but I know clown eggs are a reddish/orange, and since they are both damselfish, they could be similar.

Could be I guess. I googled it and am having a hard time finding any pictures. My damsels are small though. Nowhere near fully grown. They're all maybe 1 1/4 inches. Would they start spawning so young? They don't seem to "protect" the red thingys I'm talking about, either. I would assume at least one of the parents would be on lookout duty.
