    I got this from the LFS the other day and I forget the name. The guy said nobody knows what they eat so I guess he's gonna die in a few months :(

    hard to tell from the pic but it kinda looks like some sorta tile starfish

    It's actually the only Star fish that ever did well for me long term (years).

    I agree, Formia! Good luck, I hope the guy makes it. They are one of the "hardier" sea stars, but still not easy at all.

    If you leave an area of the glass uncleaned, no scrapping, no mag float, they hang out there.

    I believe the speculation is that they eat the bio-film and film algae.
