ID Please? Some kind of Coral?Its taking over my tank!

    I looks like some kind of anemone, but it has never moved its "foot" and it has a hard skeleton base. Any ideas?

    Looks like heliofungia to me too, they can be tricky to keep from what I've read, if you want to keep it you might want to do some research on their requirements.

    It's been growing in my tank for over a year..it started out about the size of my pinky nail and now it is bigger than a half dollar!

    I just wasn't sure if it was good or bad. It looked cool, thats all I really knew about it so I just left it be. It only really started growing when I recently began dosing calcium.

    plate coral liek said above.very nice sometimes prices can run a little high for them.

    They are neat. They do pack quite a punch so watch for corals that will fight with it. More than likely, the other coral will lose.

    Additionally, it's one of the only corals that can "walk".
