    Hi 3reefers,
I picked up an unwanted tank from a friend. I noticed these while removing LR. These were growing under the rock, possibly in to the sand. The one group is brownish and the other white.
    Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob

Looks like polyps that have gone without light, I'd move them where they can get light and see if they will open for you.

+1. That, or that chocolate chip starfish will eat them before they get the chance

Good call on the ID and the CC star. I only buy CC's when I have a Harlyquin Shrimp. Luna

First group looks like a zoanthid, second looks like "snake polyps" Isaurus tuberculatus. Hard to tell for sure from the pic.

Yep, if your planning on keeping those, or any coral in the future, your going to have to find a new home for your star
