    Any idea what this is ? They are in my sump on the LR and Chato. They look like little anemones or egg sacs that open at the top.

    Pineapple sponge? Google it and compare to what you are seeing. The pics are hard to see.

    I already inquired because I have them in the over flow and in my reactor, they are pineapple sponge.

    calcerous sponge....I suppose you can call it a pineapple sponge :) Harmless filter feeder.

    I got those all over my tank, more so in the lower lighted areas
