    I think you may be right. Did it have a skeleton when you removed it? If not it is a majano most likely.

    He was a hitchhiker on the polyps, when I took it out the bag to put it in the tank he dropped off in the bag

    Would you believe my LFS tried to tell me that majano was a harmless anenome that would not spread in my tank.. obviously they were trying to sell me the zoas it came in on. If that's what it is, I'd dump it in the trash.
