I've never seen this but I switched from cc to fine sugar sand, installed my old powerheads that have filters to suck some of the silt, and found this inside the spounge when I was cleaning them after I was done.

Is it safe for my tank with a colt coral and zoas along with some fish?

It matches the pictures I found on google so thanks. I just put it back into the tank. Hopefully that's what everyone else agrees it is.

Now that I recall, when I bought my zoas 6 months ago I think I saw a sea flea and this but it was much, much smaller, I thought it'd eventually become fish food. I'm surprised it made the substrate change.
