I have other flower pots and there is no simulalirty. They thrive in my tank.

Most flowerpots die because of the trama of being fragged. Anxious reefers try doubling them before the pot makes a full second colony or worse they cut a colony thats not doubling.

This colony is thriving, I have seen an increased number of 'pits' which extend like trumpets. Originally this had 12 pits, and new pits have formed in the open spaces as you can see they are smaller in size and growing wider and deeper into the skeleton. As they do that they are also opening up taller and taller during the day. There is clearly no tentacles its not a matter of it not being happy.

I digress, there is a slim chance its a purple goniopora. or another flowerpot species. But I am quite sure its been happy and It has been multiplying polyps for sure.

Well, In my opinion just because one seperate colony is doing fine doesn't mean that a newer one will be do fine either. Maybe it doesn't like where you had placed it? Anything could be the reason, or it may not be a flowerpot at all! :) lol I'll keep looking. I'll let you know when I give up lol

I haven't noticed any sweepers. And the last one is a strong possibility. Time shall tell. It boggles the mind for sure.
