id this clam/rock/mussel/i don't know

    so i have no clue what this is a friend told me it was a mussel when it first showed up but i don't think so... then again what do i know

    this was a hitchhiker, a leather i bought was attached to this and i thought it was a rock till i notcied it opening and closing... kinda like a clam but it's ugly haha..

    anyway it's kinda cool because i've had it forever and it blends in with my rocks but still opens and closes

    Its hard to see in your video.If it has spines it could be a spiny oyster but looks more like a rock boring clam to me.

    it does kinda have spines i guess

    my new video i posted last night has a better view and shows it opening and closing

    No offense, but videos are much harder to sort through and far more time consuming than pictures. A couple of nice clean pictures would be far more useful. I'm willing to bet most folks did what I did: Popped in expecting a pic, saw the Youtube link and instantly lost interest.

    thanks guys.. good to know i figured it was a clam of some sort and when my buddy said mussel i had to ask

    i didn't think mussels looked anything like that

    Yeah, you're way better off to try to take still pics for something like this. If you want to try to get some clear pics I can probably narrow it down for you.
