ID this Conch

    Any ideas on what species? Adult size about an 1-1.5". She recently spawned and I now have lots of little conchs. I'm so proud...

    Can't be 100% sure from the single pic, but I think it's Ergalatax margariticola. They are predatory snails with a comparatively broad diet.

    But use caution if you try it, because many of the snails on that site are misidentified. This is typical of the "photography" sites, though, so it's not much of an aberration, really. The people who do those sites are outstanding and often professional photographers, and not taxonomists.
