Id this coral please.

Hi all i just got this frag and if anybody can tell me what it is.

It's all closed up but possibly a toadstool of some sort? It's nicely colored.

 

Those sclerites look too large to be a "toadstool" aka Sarcophyton spp.. Sarco's sclerites are very small and more abundant.

 

It looks like a NPS to me.

 

What are the little white things on it? It looks like rice?

 

It's a dyed Sinularia dura or Cabbage leather. It looks stressed, probably from the dye job. I didn't think anyone would dye leathers anymore, haven't seen it done in 10 years.
The rice things are the sclerites, or the skeleton.
Keep it in good water flow and if it starts to fall apart it might be a good idea to just toss it before it pollutes your entire system.

Thanks i think your right! by now the coral opened and it came out the small tentacles coming out like a Cabbage leather and it opened up i just hope it will survive.

 

If the polyps are out that is a good sign.
