ID this green thing in my tank?

    i know about the aipstasia
    but i have no idea what the green thing under it is...
    somehow it looks like a clam.. but im not sure.. i has hairy looking things in the end..

    Some kind of bivalve. Don't know what kind.

    Besides the green thing, looks as though you have some aptasia in there as well.

    Agreed on the touch test, but it's probably a scallop.

    looks like a barnacle, they have little feather type things that come out of their shells

    thats weird... that rock was out of the water for quite sometime.. and yet some aipstasia and that green thing still survived...:eek:

    Yeah, but those tend to be a circular mound protruding from the rock. This seems to be a line of the "tentacles", and they seem to be much thicker than a barnacle's feeders. The shell also seems to have the general characteristics of a scallop, with the radial lines and shape of the base.
